An Automated microscope for screening iron particles in quartz was recently installed in the premises of Ceylon Quartz Industries (Pvt) Ltd. This is designed to identify the iron particles in a microscopic sample using the given criteria and to analyze them separately on their own. Preliminary tests have confirmed that the use of this microscope directly contributes to improving the quality of their factory's products.
